McNabb Traded To Redskins

McNabb Era Over

ESPN is reporting that Eagles QB Donovan McNabb has been traded to the Washington Redskins. Details have not been released, but the Eagles are believed to be receiving Washington’s second round pick in the 2010 NFL draft.

Thus begins the Kevin Kolb era in Philadelphia.  Kolb, the Eagles’ second round pick three years ago has been the heir apparent, and will finally get his opportunity.   Hallelujah!

McNabb achieved much success in Philadelphia, leading the Eagles to five NFC Championship games, and one Super Bowl appearance. The Eagles were 1-4 in those NFC title games, however, and lost the Super Bowl to the New England Patriots.  These repeated failures in big games had left many Eagles fans, including me, extremely frustrated, and calling for McNabb to be replaced.

Now that we’ve gotten our wish, we’ll soon see if we were right.  Personally I think Kevin Kolb will excel in this offense because of his accuracy and touch, and he’ll give the Eagles a better chance to win the Super Bowl.

You are still King of the McNabb Defenders… here’s a prediction: McNabb puts up very good numbers in Washington, they have a good season, but (shocker!), he comes up tiny in a crucial game at the end of the season, and the Redskins whole season is all for naught. But there will be fans who blame the new coach, running backs, receivers, blades of grass on the field, etc.

Sound familiar? Are you sure you’re not related to McNabb?

BTW– He’s have Clinton Portis, Larry Johnson & Mike Shanahan this year. There goes your old excuses…

If there is an ounce of football brains on this site you would realize that the Eagles went from 2nd best team in the division to the last place. I needed Donny to be traded because he was a lame duck. They traded him to a team with a Great coach and a running game. a coach that made the likes of Cutler, Plummer and yes Elway all perform better than anywhere else. You now have how many starters returning on defense? Does it seem like a bad decision tfor the Eagles to add 2 running backs to a team that does not run the ball. They have added no free agents other than a gimp on defense. Christian, turn this site into a hockey site and leave the football talk to the men of the houses.

Is there a point somewhere? Old man, shake out the cobwebs, dry your crying eyes, and talk to me after Kolb leads the Eagles to an 11-5 record, the NFC East title and a couple of playoff wins THIS YEAR! By the way, his eyes won’t glaze over if the game is close in the fourth quarter and he knows he’s going to get the ball back!!!

Now go fondle your Donovan blow up doll.

Oh by the way, the pther qb’s that Shanahan coached were Oe Montana and Steve Young. When, Not Kolb, but the Eagles fall flat on their asses, my ass will be cleaned for your lips.

NcNabb ALWAYs comes up small in crucial games! How can anyone say we are going backwards? When young hands that include Celek, Jackson and Maclin all want Kolb over Mcinaccurate, does that not speak volumes? There is no way in hell the Skins will finish ahead of the Eagles and that is with either Kolb or Vick starting. McNabb is soooooooooooooo soft! Where the hell was he during the biggest two games of the year in 2009 playoffs against Dallas? AWOL!

JUST WHEN I THOUGHT LIFE COULD NOT GET ANY BETTER! TO ALL THOSE NON EAGLES FANS OUT THERE SAYING IT IS A MISTAKE TO TRADE DONNIE, YOU ALL SIMPLY ARE NOT ASTUTE TO DETAILS AND FACTS ABOUT THE SITUATION OR DON’T WATCH EVERY SINGLE SNAP MCNOODLE HAS PLAYED LIKE I HAVE! I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT HIM GOING TO A DIVISION FOE EITHER. IF THE EAGLES WERE WORRIED ABOUT HIM BEING THAT GOOD, HE NEVER WOULD HAVE BEEN DEALT TO THE SKINS!LET’S MAKE GOOD USE OF THE PICK AND MOVE ON! I AM SO BURNED OUT OF BEING A GOOD TEAM, BUT COMING UP SHORT. ALOT OF PEOPLE WILL SAY LOOK AT THE WINNING PERCENTAGE, BUT HE HAS BEEN AND WILL BE AN UNDERACHIEVER WHO COMES UP SUPER SMALL IN THE CLUTCH! HELL THE ONLY NFC TITLE GAME HE WON WAS TO AN AVERAGE FALCON TEAM AT HOME! WHILE I AM AT IT, IT’S ALSO TIME TO BLAME FATBOY ANDY REID AS WELL. ENOUGH ALREADY OF THIS GREAT COACH CRAP!!! HE BUILT AN OFFENSE OVER 11 YEARS AGO WITH THE NEED FOR AN ACCURATE POCKET PASSING QB! WHAT DID HE DO? DRAFT A SCRAMBLING, RUNNING, ATHLETE (NOT A QB) WHO HAS TERRIBLE ACCURACY AND COMPOSURE! IF ANYTHING, REID SHOULD HAVE CHANGED THE OFFENSE AFTER DRAFING MCNABB TO FIT HIS STRENGTH’S WHERE HE COULD HAVE THROWN ON THE RUN, ETC. WHEREAS HE WOULD NOT HAVE TO THINK, BUT SIMPLY REACT! IT NEVER FIT! NEVER! NEXT IN LINE IS ANDY, AT LEAST I HOPE! I AM SOO BURNED OUT OF “WE WILL CORRECT THINGS” AT POST GAME PRESS CONFERENCES! ONE WISH DONE, NOW LET’S GO AND SIGN A REAL WINNER LIKE BILL COWAR WITH ALL THE $$$$$ THEY ARE STOCKING UP!

As long as I don’t have to see those glassy eyes in the fourth quarter, I don’t care who they traded him to!

i dont mind the trade but i find it pretty strange you’d trade him within the division.
