As we know FaceBook has their own rulebook on what they do and how they handle problems with accounts. Many of us Facebook users often find ourselves in the midst of some issue on Facebook from suspensions, Facebook Jail, someone hacked your account, someone impersonating you or harassing you, etc… The issue with Facebook is once you encounter these problems and want to resolve them or contact Facebook in order to correct it, you end up realizing Facebook has very little support or ways to contact them other then their Facebook Help section which rarely helps you out especially if contacting a human is involved. They just don’t have enough employees to support their user base.
So I have put out this post to give you ways in which to contact Facebook for a litany of problems you might encounter. Once again you won’t be talking to anyone but you will be able to send in info about the problem and then sit there and wait til they respond if ever. Most of the time with a lot of effort and patience you can get your issue resolved.
Just the other day my public profile got flagged for suspicious activity and they deactivated and suspended and removed the account from FaceBook while I was using the account. It popped up a message saying that, asked me to upload a photo of myself, which i did, then logged me out saying it will be reviewed and wiped my account and all business pages off of FaceBook. 9 years of Sports media and business wiped out in a flash and no way to restore it or contact to have it restored in any quick way. As of this point it has yet to be restored. (Update, I got it restored within a day…)
My Advice to any public people or business people is to create multiple accounts although FaceBook frowns on that and here is the reason why. When or if they disable your account for whatever reason you won’t be fully wiped out and still have an option to get on Facebook to try and correct. Also, if you have business pages attached to that account, you will lose those as well. Be safe with your pages because I lost a couple business pages that way. Thank God I had a personal account and made myself an Admin of a few other pages I run and those pages are still up. If I didn’t have both of my accounts as Admin on those pages, I would have lost them as well. If you don’t have 2 profiles, assign someone else you trust as Admin so just in case Facebook decides to Flag you, you won’t lose those pages in which more than one Admin was assigned. Being flagged with suspicious activity is the worst cause it is so complete and little options to get help to restore, there are options to help with just about every other account problem you could have.
