Earlier this morning reports were coming out that the Eagles and former New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin were potentially getting close on a deal. That has all changed now.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Coughlin has withdrawn his name from the Eagles head coaching search. Schefter states that it was “not the right fit”.

The news is kind of alarming for the Eagles because this is yet another candidate who has chosen not to take the head coaching job. ESPN’s Dan Graziano reports that he was told Coughlin had concerns about the Eagles job, including who the offensive coordinator would be.
