Super Bowl LIV, at its core, is a game that includes one of the best defenses in the league against the most explosive offense in the NFL. With a razor-thin point spread (Chiefs -1), the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs are expected to take part in a close, classic battle this Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. We put on our hard hats and did some digging, and we came up with 54 things you should know about the 54th Super Bowl. From gambling insights to NFL records on the line, this list has everything you could want to know about the big game, and it will all go down this Sunday.

Let’s not waste any time, we’ve got lots to go over:

1. The game will be played between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, marking the first time these two have met in a Super Bowl.

2. This is the first Super Bowl appearance for the Chiefs in 50 years. The last time Kansas City made it this far, it was Jan. 11, 1970, when the Chiefs topped the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV for their first — and only — Lombardi Trophy.

What are the odds the Eagles will win SuperBowl 54

February 21st, 2019 by Leo | Comments Off on What are the odds the Eagles will win SuperBowl 54 | Filed in Eagles, Football, General

The 2018-19 season ended on a sour note as the Eagles made their bid to win back to back SuperBowls.  Typically it is a hard feat to do with the added pressure and being the main target for every team wanting to beat the Champs.  With Carson Wentz falling to injury for the second season in a row, good ole St. Nick stepped in to get the Eagles into the playoffs, beating the Rams in the process.  The Eagles fans thought another miracle was in the making with a double doink win over the Bears in the wildcard, but St. Nick fell short in a fourth quarter comeback against the Saints with a pass through the hands of Alshon Jeffrey that became a interception. It was an exciting ride for a bit and one pass/drive away from the NFC Championship game.

Well, with last season behind us and the New England Patriots winning another SuperBowl, the question arises on what chance the Eagles have to win SuperBowl 54.  If you want to check out the Eagles stats and figures for last year and upcoming news check out the Philadelphia Eagles page on NFL.com.

According to one source, the Eagles have the best Super Bowl 54 odds in the NFC East at +1800, narrowly ahead of Dallas (+2000). If they can bolster the backfield in free agency, they should be even shorter by Week 1. Philly was ranked 27th in rushing efficiency by Football Outsiders and 28th in rushing by Pro Football Focus last year, even though PFF graded the O-line as the 5th-best run-blocking unit. Wendell Smallwood, Josh Adams, Corey Clement: all the RBs left meat on the bone, and the team never found a suitable replacement for Jay Ajayi. Le’Veon Bell would obviously come with huge off-field concerns, but putting his hyper-patient running style behind this offensive line would produce instant results. Lets see what the off-season brings.
