January 25th, 2012 by Johnny G | Comments Off on Lavoy Allen Gets His License | Filed in General

Former Temple star and now Sixers bench player, Lavoy Allen was on Daily News Live earlier tonight on Comcast Sportsnet. Allen was asked what the last thing that Coach Collins texted to him. Allen responded by saying that Coach Collins said “Congratulations on the license”. Apparently, Lavoy has been using public transportation up until now. We’d like to also congratulate Lavoy on getting his license finally at the ripe old age of 22. Congrats Lavoy!

Wilson Valdez was traded to the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday. The Phillies receive pitcher Jeremy Horst in return. Valdez is most famously known for the scoreless inning he pitched in an extra inning game for the Phillies. Valdez hit .249 last season with one home run and an OBP below .300. Good luck, Wilson.
