Do or Die for the season by Game 3 for Eagles

Do or Die for the Eagles by Game 3 in the season.  Most Eagles fans once again felt they had a Division winning team and playoff bound at the beginning of the season.  As per 2020, that appears not to be in the cards.  With an 0-2 start, the Eagles are already facing must win games and the bid for the division and playoffs on the line.  With terrible performances in the first 2 games and tons of sacks and mistakes and shoddy play by Carson Wentz leaves the Philly fan base bedazzled as the Eagles enter Game 3 against the lowly Bengals who are also 0-2 and once again the Eagles are expected to Win.

Carson Wentz has assured the fans that he is ready to play and focused on the game and believes the Eagles will rebound with a win and a chance to get back in the hunt.

Midseason(sic) MLB Awards

August 13th, 2014 by Ryan Waterman | Comments Off on Midseason(sic) MLB Awards | Filed in Baseball, General, Sports

With the Non-Waiver Trade Deadline behind us, the MLB season is coming up on the home stretch of the season. It’s been an interesting season to this point, capped of with one of the biggest Trade Deadlines in recent history.  Aces are running wild, Power Hitters are lighting the league ablaze, and Speedsters are making pitchers think twice when delivering.  This article takes a special look at the valuable and (not so) valuable players this year. First, we begin with the National League.

NL MVP: Clayton Kershaw-SP/Los Angeles Dodgers

Pure Dominance.  Kershaw has by far been the best player in the NL this season, posting a 13-2 record with an impressive 1.71 ERA, and a mind blowing 0.82 WHIP. He has been ridiculously lights-out over his last 9 starts. Since June 13th, Kershaw has pitched 73 innings, allowing 5 runs, whiling mowing down 86 batters. That is insane. His ERA has dropped from 3.17 on June 8th to 1.71 last night. In five of his last nine starts, he has gone 8+ innings, and given up no runs. He has gone the distance five times this season, including 2 shutouts, and a no-hitter against the Rockies, in which he struck out 15 batters. Simply put, Clayton Kershaw is an absolute beast, being dubbed the “Modern-Day Sandy Koufax.”  While it may be rare for a pitcher to win MVP, I have to ask this; Where would the Dodgers be without Kershaw?
