Oh boy, here we go again!    Seven weeks after the first meeting between these two teams, and they meet yet again….practically in identical positions. The Birds will walk into AT&T Stadium on  Sunday Night, with a 3-4 record.  They will once again wage war, with the 2-5 Dallas Cowboys.   The Eagles are coming off of a bye week, in which they had to reflect on a demoralizing loss to the Carolina Panthers.  Meanwhile, the Cowboys are riding a two game losing streak, having dropped games to the Seahawks and Giants.

This game couldn’t be more pivotal for either team, as it will essentially eliminate one of these teams from the NFC East divisional race.  The ‘Boys have dropped four of their last five games against the Eagles in Arlington, and are current owners of a five-game losing streak.  The Eagles fourteenth-ranked defense will look to take advantage of the Tony Romo-less Cowboys, and make it six-straight losses for Dallas.

Chris Christie Needs to Shut His Mouth

Jon Stewart, in his eloquent wisdom, said it pretty well. “You lead a state, Christie, that’s half Giants fans, half Eagles fans, and you’re groping the owner of the Dallas Cowboys? Why don’t you just break a copy of Born to Run over the head of a Hurricane Sandy victim, you backstabbing piece of sh*t?”

Here’s the deal: if Christie’s Godforsaken choice of team fandom is what keeps you from voting for him in 2016, then perhaps you should reassess your criteria for a qualified presidential candidate. If you’re like me, though, the “I’d Sooner Elect a Jellyfish” ship sailed long ago. Recent events, though ethically questionable, are NOT the reason I’ll pass on the “Christie 4 Prez” bumper sticker. His political record speaks for itself; if you or someone you know lives in New Jersey, then you’re likely up to speed on his knack for mismanaging state government and throwing constituents’ well-being to the wind.

The recent display of vomit-inducing, same-sweater-wearing, Cowboy-loving, Eagles-fanbase-bashing garbage is not why I would never cast a vote for Chris Christie. That decision was cemented long before Christie (and his Marcus Vick wannabe brother, Todd) opened his grotesquely large and food-filled mouth about anything sports-related.

Sit Vick

Man, those linemen are tall!

It won’t happen, but allow me to delude myself for a few minutes.  Albert Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.  By that definition the Eagles offensive strategy is insane.  Keep trotting out Michael Vick, who has not been an effective quarterback since the Minnesota Vikings figured him out two years ago, and still expect to win!

NEWS FLASH to the Eagles:  The Michael Vick Experiment is over and it has failed.  The rest of the NFL knows it.  Your fans know it.  And I believe the Eagles’ players know it.  When’s the last time you heard DeSean Jackson singing Vick’s praises?

So, when a player isn’t getting the job done, what should be done?  Let’s see… that’s a tough one… ummm…. how about go to Option #2???  Let’s do a quick review to see if we all follow… Option #1 is stinking up the joint and has been for almost two years.  So you need to make an adjustment.  And the logical (sane) move is to try Option #2.  Did I lose anyone?  Andy?  Are we all on the same page?

Consider that Option #1 (Vick) is six feet, ZERO inches tall and trying to throw the football over linemen that are six feet FIVE inches, and you can see (better than Vick) why he might be having trouble spotting open receivers, and delivering the football.  Further consider that Option #2 (Nick Foles) is six feet SIX inches and can clearly see over his linemen.  Is it sheer coincidence that Tom Brady is 6’5″, Peyton Manning is 6’5″, Ben Roethlisberger is 6’5″ and Eli Manning is 6’4″?

Can I Have Your Autograph Please?

Imagine asking one of your co-workers for their autograph.  That’s what Tashard Choice asked of Michael Vick after the Cowboys lost to the Eagles in Dallas.  Tashard, you cannot be serious.

Shady Puts a Hurtin' on the Boys!

That’s more like it!  Is there anything more satisfying that watching the Eagles lay an ass whupping on the Cowgirls in front of 70,000 hillbilly Texas fans and Plastic Face?  Well, there is, but this site isn’t the place for that.

The Eagles beat the Cowboys in Dallas last night, in Jerry Jones’ prized new stadium, on national television, 30-27.  It was a sweet win, where the Eagles closed out the game soundly. Shady McCoy pounded the ball right at the Cowboys D, after the Eagles took possession at their own 10 yard line with four and a half minutes left in the game.  The Cowboys simply could not stop the Eagles, and McCoy, who ran (literally) out the clock.

Get Off The Field Dummy!

Some thoughts from the game:

Frozen Face Watches His Grand Plan Crumble

Thank you.  The Cowboys lost on Thanksgiving Day to the Saints, 30-27.  The loss dropped the Cowgirls record to 3-8 on the season.  I guess Dallas won’t have their beloved Cowboys playing in the Super Bowl, hosted in their brand new $1.5 billion stadium, as Jerry “Frozen Face” Jones had hoped.

What would be nicer than to have crazed, drunken Eagles fans in Texas for two weeks to taunt Frozen Face if the Birds can make it to the Super Bowl?  Now, that would be sweet!

Here ya go Dallas!

The other day on 610’s morning show (which I’m liking more and more), Angelo Cataldi was talking to a lunatic Eagles fan who had actually urinated on the Cowboys star at the new stadium.  The fan said he wished he had defecated on it.  Classic!
