Eagles vs Browns Preview and Prediction 2020

November 22nd, 2020 by Leo | Comments Off on Eagles vs Browns Preview and Prediction 2020 | Filed in Eagles, Football, General, NFL, TSP Radio

This week the Eagles face a much improved Cleveland Browns team holding a 6-3 record in a much tougher division than the Eagles.  As we saw last game against the Giants, the Eagles fell flat on their face with an ugly 27-17 loss.  Now the Eagles head into Cleveland with a 3-5-1 record and still in first place in the horrid NFC East.

Once again, within the horrid NFC East, even if the Eagles lose again this week, they will still hold 1st in the Division because it’s the Giants bye week this week.  With Dallas and Washington at 2-7, even if they win and Eagles lose, the Eagles still hold 1st place.

Here is a listing of the Eagles injury report for the Browns game:

Do or Die for the season by Game 3 for Eagles

September 27th, 2020 by Leo | Comments Off on Do or Die for the season by Game 3 for Eagles | Filed in Eagles, Football, General, NFL, Sports

Do or Die for the Eagles by Game 3 in the season.  Most Eagles fans once again felt they had a Division winning team and playoff bound at the beginning of the season.  As per 2020, that appears not to be in the cards.  With an 0-2 start, the Eagles are already facing must win games and the bid for the division and playoffs on the line.  With terrible performances in the first 2 games and tons of sacks and mistakes and shoddy play by Carson Wentz leaves the Philly fan base bedazzled as the Eagles enter Game 3 against the lowly Bengals who are also 0-2 and once again the Eagles are expected to Win.

Carson Wentz has assured the fans that he is ready to play and focused on the game and believes the Eagles will rebound with a win and a chance to get back in the hunt.

The keys to the game as far as I see it are: (more…)

Eagles Final Spoiler Hurdle vs the Cowboys, Division and Playoffs on the Line

December 21st, 2019 by Leo | Comments Off on Eagles Final Spoiler Hurdle vs the Cowboys, Division and Playoffs on the Line | Filed in Eagles, Football, General, NFL, Sports, TSP Radio

As hard as it may be to believe, the Eagles are one step away from winning the NFC East Division and a Playoff birth.  The same applies to the Dallas Cowboys as well making this head to head match-up the game of the week.  One of the most passionate rivalries in the NFL, this should prove to be a playoff type feel and all on the line play by both sides.

It is my belief the Eagles can win this game!  A few keys to victory are: Carson Wentz has to step up and lead as the Franchise QB he is.  The defense will tell the tale on both sides, the Eagles have to stop the run game or severely limit it and the corners can’t give up the deep pass.  As long as everyone else holds their own and produces like they should and establish some type of running game then, the Eagles will come away with the Victory!  Should the Eagles fail in these areas then it will be a long Monday in Philadelphia.

Here is the current Injury and Status report for the game on Sunday:

TSP Poll: What will the Eagles Record be this year??

August 23rd, 2019 by Leo | Comments Off on TSP Poll: What will the Eagles Record be this year?? | Filed in Eagles, Football, General, NFL, Polls

Well another Eagles Season is upon us and pre-season is just about over with the Eagles opening day game on September 8th against the Washington Redskins and the Linc, (1:00pm FOX).  With several backup QB’s going down in pre-season and Carson not playing, the Eagles decided to bring in Josh McCown for a 1 year deal to fill the backup position for Carson Wentz.  The big question for me is, will Carson be able to complete his first NFL season and play in his first Playoff game since entering the NFL? Only time will tell as the season goes on.  TalkSportsPhilly wants to ask the fans, what do you think the Eagles record will be in 2019?

Answer Poll below schedule:

The Prodigy Returns

September 23rd, 2018 by Leo | Comments Off on The Prodigy Returns | Filed in Eagles, Football, NFL

Carson Wentz’s return from injury will be one of the greatest moments in Philadelphia sports history.

Make no mistake about it, Carson Wentz turned the Eagles franchise around and brought them their first championship in six decades. Sure, Nick Foles stepped into the role and had a marvelous run, quarterbacking the team through the playoffs and an electrifying Super Bowl win. But Foles and his teammates rode Wentz’s spirit to victory. They followed the path blazed by Wentz, and were infused with the confidence that can only be inspired by a player endowed with divine abilities. Carson Wentz took a team, and a city for that matter, that had been so demoralized from fifty-seven years of losing, and changed their DNA. He changed their destiny.

So, on Sunday, September 23rd, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., savor what you are witnessing. Listen to the crowd at Lincoln Financial Field when Carson Wentz trots out of the tunnel onto the hallowed grass of his home turf. There will be a roar you will not hear again in your lifetime. Because the fans know innately what this wunderkind did. Generations feel it in their marrow. And they will welcome back their young, gridiron general with the enthusiasm and reverence reserved for only the greatest of warriors. It will be, well, let’s call it a religious experience.

That’s what Carson Wentz means to Philadelphia.

To take a peek back, it’s hard to believe what Wentz has accomplished in less than two years as a pro.

2016 NFL Draft: Grading Each Eagles Draft Pick

May 2nd, 2016 by Ryan Waterman | Comments Off on 2016 NFL Draft: Grading Each Eagles Draft Pick | Filed in Eagles, Football, General, NFL, Sports, TalkSportsPhilly

Three days of the NFL Draft has come and gone. Our Philadelphia Eagles held seven selections over the three-day event, with their first pick being second overall. They made shockwaves by moving from 13th overall to eighth in a trade with Miami. Then, last week they made a blockbuster with Cleveland to jump up to second overall. As always with the NFL Draft, some picks are no-brainers, others are decent picks, and there are picks that leave you questioning the selection. In this post, I am going to analyze the Eagles draft picks, and will grade them based on my thoughts.

First Round (2nd Overall): Carson Wentz/QB- North Dakota State

I love this pick, absolutely love it. The Eagles believe Wentz is their franchise quarterback, and so do I. He’s got all the skills, and his intangibles are fantastic. He’s drawn many comparisons to Andrew Luck, and I for one feel comfortable with that comparison. With this selection, the Eagles found themselves their quarterback for the next 10-12 years. Hopefully, a Super Bowl will find itself into that time frame, as well.

GRADE: A+
