Recently a new facility opened up in the Mt. Laurel area to improve your Golf game named the Golf Performance Institute. TalkSportsPhilly attended the grand opening event and toured the facility and talked with the owners about their mission and goals.
The facility is 10,000 square feet and hosts a range of tools and techniques to improve the Golf games of not only experienced players but also newcomers to the game as well. Technology is combined with South Jersey’s top PGA Professional Golf instructors and top Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Golf Fitness instructors to provide golfers of all levels the ability to train like the pros. It has a indoor driving range and putting surfaces so players can improve their game which will provide teams and individuals the ability to practice year round.
While I was at the Grand Opening I ran into former NFL player Fred Baxter and talked with him a bit. He was using GPI for the golf team he coaches and spoke highly about how the facility helped improve the game of his players. It was a great event packed with people from around the area including many people from the Philly sports world and local businesses.
I also spoke with the owners in depth about future goals. The main focus is to grow the membership and grow the junior memberships and monitor how GPI can help enhance the game of golf in the area. If you are interested, check out the GPI website for more details or go to their Facebook and Twitter pages.
TalkSportsPhilly would like to wish GPI the best of luck in their new venture and look forward to trying out the facilities in the future.
