Is Rollins Being Recruited?

Early Sunday morning, or late Saturday night depending on what coast you are on, Jimmy Rollins had a brief exchange on Twitter:
Vernon Wells @VernonWells10 Vernon Wells
@JimmyRollins11 whats up jroll?
Jimmy Rollins @JimmyRollins11 Jimmy Rollins
@VernonWells10 is this the real VW?

@JimmyRollins11 u know it! Follow me clown! I’ll give you my phone number. Talk about free agency.

Could Rollins be Anaheim bound?

Hmm. Is Vernon Wells trying to recruit Rollins to play for Anaheim? The Angels currently have Erick Aybar under team control for at least one more season as he is in his final year of arbitration eligibility. Could it be possible that Rollins is being asked if he would consider moving to third base, a position the Angels would like to upgrade at? They currently have Maicer Izturis at the hot corner, but Rollins would be clearly more of an offensive threat both in power and on the base path.

Under the terms of the new collective bargaining agreement, if the Angels were to sign Rollins, the Phillies would receive the 19th pick in the 2012 Rule IV, or first year player, draft plus an additional pick in the supplemental round. Keep checking with TSP for further developments.

    Interesting Mike, do you think J Roll will fit good with the Angels? Would you support a move like that?
