The Flyers’ Goalie Go-Round

The Flyers’ goalie go-round stopped on Michael Leighton today, which was a most unfortunate choice, because he looks slow and rusty, and he paid for it by giving up three goals in the first period, including two bad ones. Looks like Boosh will get the call for the second. From where I sit, he should have gotten the call from the get-go. The spectacular save Boucher just made only proves my point….

Get Your Bets Down!

Ok I went 1-2 yesterday as the Pacers beat the Bulls and the Spurs continue to look older as each game passes by. #1 Lock of the day is pretty obvious to me, take the Heat(-6) to complete the sweep over the Sixers here in Philly. #2 and Final Lock of the day, Is the Lakers(-5 1/2) over the Hornets. This should make up for my two stinkers from yesterday people. Enjoy the games today people.

Take Your Pick

Last night, with the game on the line in the 11th inning, the San Diego Padres chose to intentionally walk Jimmy Rollins in order to face Ryan Howard.

And for some unfathomable reason, Padres pitcher Cory Luebke threw Howard a fastball, which Howard hit into the left-field corner (it could have been caught btw), for the game-winning double.

The book is out on Ryan Howard, and unless he can lay off the curve low and away, teams will continue to choose to pitch TO him in clutch situations.  And they won’t be stupid enough to through him a fastball.

My question to you is this:  with the game on the line, who would you rather face, Jimmy Rollins or Ryan Howard?
