Eagles vs. Redskins on Monday Night Football

November 15th, 2010 by Johnny G | Filed under Eagles, Football, General.

The Eagles (5-3) come into Washington (4-4) tonight to take on the Redskins on Monday Night Football. This will be Donovan McNabb’s first game action since his embarrassing benching due to “cardiovascular issues” and his unfamiliarity with the 2- minute offense. This is a crucial game for both sides. With a win, the Eagles would pull into a virtual tie with the New York Giants for the division lead, who lost to the struggling Cowboys on Sunday. Washington would creep right back up into the top of the division and hold the tie-breaker over the Eagles, having already beaten them once earlier in the season.

Michael Vick enters the game having yet to throw an interception and he has captivated the entire Eagles’ fan base, even those who did not agree with the initial signing. His speed and playmaking ability make this offense much more exciting than when McNabb led this group. Vick is also a perfect 3-0 in games that he has started and finished. Along with his perfect record, he is sporting a QB rating of 105.3.

Ellis Hobbs and Victor Abiamiri are listed as OUT tonight for the Eagles. Running backs Clinton Portis and Ryan Torain are both listed as questionable for the Redskins but Torain is expected to start and Portis will be inactive.
