HE HAS TO GO!

HE HAS TO GO!

Enough already! Charlie I don’t wanna hear your bumbling second grade eduation vocabulary about how this total “has been” Brad Lidge is your closer!

He caught lighting in a bottle in 2008 and thank you!

Ever since he absolutely “STINKS.” You are telling me nobody can do a better job at finishing out a game? Guess he has photos of you doing something illegal hidden somewhere. Why else would you put that absolute bum out there over and over and expect a save?

Charlie get with the program…for Heavens sake let a starting eight player close a game if you wanna just throw away wins left and right!

Another Ace named Roy

Another Ace named Roy

Despite not having the greatest first start for our fighting Phils, I will take Oswalt any day! Do I like parting with a super talented young lefty in  Happ? No!

It should not have come down to this after the Cliff Lee debacle. We should still have Lee and runner up for rookie of the year last year in Happ too.

But in all fairness to Amaro, who I thrive on bashing. He has shown aggressiveness in an attempt to get back to a third consecutive World Series in obtaining Oswalt from Houston.

If this darn team could just get healthy and “STAY” healthy, I like our chances of making the playoffs and returning to the Fall Classic.

Maybe it will be the “Roy & Roy” show that leads us back to the promised land!

In all fairness to the 2010 Philadelphia Phillies they have had an insane rash of injuries.

They are 5 games behind the Braves. Yes shouting distance. Do they still have a shot at the playoffs? Yes.

Do they have to winn the division? No, just make the playoffs and ANYTHING can happen.

Even without a deadline trade if this team could get heaalthy and STAY healthy you never know!

Gload until Brown develops in right?

Rightfielder?

Rightfielder?

Is Ross Gload the Phillies rightfielder until the Phils develop Dominic Brown in rightfield?

This means no disrespect to Jason Werth who has been great at times. But he seems to be the only trade bait this team has to garner a much needed starting pitcher? And his contract next year will be a very high paying one.

Can the Phils pull off a miracle and land Roy Oswalt from Houston? They say we are number 2 behind the Cardinals in line to obtain him?

We shall see…Ruben you owe us as loyal fans who fill your stadium up to 105% day or night a miracle!

Floundering again!

Floundering Again!

Floundering Again!

Well thank God Milt Thompson is gone. Still the Philadelphia Phillies offense stinks!

A season lost because they can’t hit the broad sign of a barn.

Even Oswalt from Hoston could not save them. What is the point when this promising offense throws up 0, 1 maybe 2 runs a game! I think it is pathetic!

I believe in karma and after fan favorite Lee was dumped this team was destined to be AVERAGE at best!

All Star Break needed for Phillies

July 8th, 2010 by Leo | 3 Comments | Filed in Baseball, General, Phillies

Major League Baseball brings Taco Bell All-Star Sunday to Southern California on July 11th at Angel Stadium. The doubleheader includes the XM All-Star Futures Game and the Taco Bell All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game. The XM All-Star Futures Game, which features some of the game’s best young prospects from the U.S. and around the world.  The second game features former All Star Legends and Celebrities in a fun filled softball game.

This will precede the 2010-81st All Star game at Angel Stadium on Tuesday, July 13.  The only Phillie to be named a starter was Chase Utley, unfortunately Utley’s latest injury will keep him out of the lineup. Only 2 other Phillies made the team this year, Roy Halladay for pitching and Ryan Howard as a reserve first baseman.  My prediction is the National League will win this year.

Hopefully this break will give the Phillies a much needed break to help heal the lineup and regroup for the second half of the season.  Currently the Phillies are in third place in the NL East and are 6 games back from the leading Atlanta Braves.
