Moment of Truth for Kolb

September 20th, 2009 by Christian | 2 Comments | Filed in Eagles, General

Kevin Kolb will get the start at QB today in place of injured Donovan McNabb, as the Eagles take on the New Orleans Saints in Philadelphia.

The Eagles’ second round pick in the 2007 draft has played sparingly in eight regular season games, completing 24 of 45 passes with 0 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.

The Eagles hope he lives up to the promise he showed in his senior year of college, throwing 30 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions, while leading the University of Houston’s Cougars to a 10-4 record. Jeff Garcia will back up Kolb.

The Saints are set at quarterback, featuring All-Pro Drew Brees, who threw six touchdowns last week against the doormat defense of the Detroit Lions.
