Twice in the last three exhibition games, not only did Juan Pierre start in left field, but he found himself at the top of the lineup. Both games feature Pierre at the lead off, and Jimmy Rollins in the three hole. Pierre is a combined five for eight and Rollins is a combined 0 for five with two walks. Does Manuel stick with long-time lead off man J-Roll or does he go with small ball definition Pierre?
Jose Contreras is looking to start the season on the disabled list. He most likely will be eligible to come of the DL right around Easter so the person to take his spot will most likely be David Herndon or Joe Savery, as both can be optioned to AAA Lehigh Valley once Contreras arrives.

Both play key defensive positions. Both are offensive stalwarts. Victorino has expressed his desire to remain in Philadelphia, even if it means leaving money on the table.
