It’s official: Nick Foles loves playing the Bucs. He’s 2-0 at Tampa Bay in his career; his only 2 career wins to date (although that’s subject to change soon). The offense was very good, and in rhythm, especially when it came via the big play.

Fun fact: Surprisingly, from a receiving standpoint, this was DeSean Jackson’s first multi-touchdown game in his five and a half year career. Jackson had a big game, with the 2 touchdown receptions, 64 receiving yards and 6 total receptions. Not only did Jackson catch six balls on Sunday, but he caught every ball that he was targeted on by Foles; proving Jackson’s proficiency to not only catch touchdown passes and make big plays, but get open as often as possible as well.

With Philadelphia’s 434 total yards of offense today, they eclipsed the 400+ yard mark on offense for the sixth time in as many games this season. That’s an all-time NFL record (that will most likely continue to grow), that eclipsed the ’83 Chargers and 2007 Patriots for most games to start a season with 430 or more yards. Additionally, out of those six games, this was the fourth game in which the Eagles eclipsed the 30+ points mark as well, and the first under Foles in his first start to the season.

Despite the defense giving up 367 yards, and losing the time of possession war (33:46 to 26:14), Philadelphia was able to execute their plays on offense when it counted, and win the game. Foles executed his passes for the most part- including the short and long passes.

On top of their defense giving up 400+ yards of offense, Tampa Bay looked extremely poor as well when it came to patience. They totaled 8 penalties for 72 yards, compared to the Eagles’ 3 penalties. The final penalty for the Bucs came on a 4th and 1 snap count call by Nick Foles, which lead to a five-yard penalty that gave the Eagles the first down.
