Injuries surpass Talent?
I actually have empathy for the hated New York Mets! Last year they were bit by the injury bug. They had absolutely no chance of winning anything.
This year may be a baseball record for injuries to a Major League team. In all my years of following baseball, especially as a Phillies fan. I have “NEVER” seen anything like the rash of injuries to a team of this magnitude!
It seems like when the Phils get one player back another one goes down. Maybe it is contagious, I simply am baffled!
It seems as though everytime you watch a game another player is going on the DL anywhere from 15 days to 2 months!
This team is now loaded with talent except for the closer position, but just can’t get healthy! Manuel said he felt guilty letting Milt go as batting coach. Why the hell does he not feel the same toward Lidge? Answer: $$$ & a wasted contract!
If this team can somehow limp into the playoffs and get healthy “ANYTHING” is possible!
Is the curse of William Penn back? I hope and pray not! Keep Phighting my beloved Phillies!
