How is it Possible??

A Win Win Situation

I was just looking at the NHL Scoreboard Page and noticed that 24 out of 30 teams have a winning record and a couple .500 ‘s.  It just does not seem to make statistical sense to me, although I did not crunch the numbers.

Can Someone explain to me how this is the case??

Everybody who watches Hockey knows that the season does not mean that much, since most teams make the playoffs anyway.  But everyone being a winner, now that is just not American.

The Five Losers:

1. Carolina Hurricanes at 14-25
2. Edmonton Oilers at 16-25
3. Toronto Maple Leafs at 16-24
4. Columbus Blue Jackets at 18-22
5. Florida Panthers at 19-20

Everyone else is a winner!

I guess the competition is good, but seems a little ridiculous to me.

Bring back the good old days of the “BROAD STREET BULLIES“, I say.
