We love the Washington Nationals. Their hapless offense mustered only one run – in the ninth inning – and the Phillies cruised to their fourth straight victory, 6-1, Wednesday night.
With Philadelphia leading 2-0 in the seventh, Jayson Werth hit a towering grand slam to put the game on ice. Werth now has 34 HRs and 88 RBIs in his first full season as a starter.
Joe Blanton pitched six shutout innings, striking out seven.
