After an easy Monday Night winner on the Green Bay Packers, my record now stands at 11-5 overall. Lets get right to the Week 14 card.

Green Bay Packers(-4) over Chicago Bears/ 1pm Sunday

We are going to back the Packers again this Sunday as they take on a Bears team on the road, who could not put the Rams away. Last Sunday I told you the Bears would not be able to distance themselves from the Rams because of the running game disparity and that’s exactly what happened. This time we have a Bears team that is still struggling on both sides of the ball and Jay Cutler has still not improved. Forte is still not getting the job done on the ground and we have a defense with more injuries than ever before.

The Packers come into this game after an impressive victory on Monday night over the Baltimore Ravens. The final score did not indicate how badly Green Bay dominated this game. They jumped out to a 17-0 lead at halftime and completely stifled Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense. The one weakness of this Packers team the entire season has been their defense. Now that the defensive unit is pulling their own weight, this is very dangerous team and could cause issues in the playoffs for anyone who faces them. Aaron Rodgers continues to impress as his offensive line continues to improve. The group becomes more cohesive with each passing week. Donald Driver continues to prove his doubters wrong and Ryan Grant has done a fine job taking pressure off of Rodgers.

The Packers will be entirely too much for the Bears to handle on Sunday as the different blitzes and schemes from Dom Capers will have Cutler’s head spinning. Take the Packers minus the points as this one ends in a blowout.

Double Your Money Pick of The Week
Indianapolis Colts (-7) over Denver Broncos/ Sunday 1pm

The Broncos enter this game at 8-4, after winning two straight contests against the struggling New York Giants and the lowly Kansas City Chiefs. Before this mini-winning streak, the Broncos were an absolute mess, having dropped five straight after winning their first six contests of the season. Overall this team is not as good as they have shown, and on the other hand they are not as bad as they have played at times. Much credit should be given to Josh Mcdaniels for having the success he has this season with Kyle Orton under center. His lack of arm strength has not been exposed to this point in this season as it was when Orton was with the Bears and the different formations and schemes seems to be working well enough to get by with a refurbished defense.

When you are playing the Colts though, you need much more than tricky schemes and play calling. Peyton Manning will match you drive for drive the entire game, as the undefeated Colts are playing phenomenal football right now. Just in their last five games they have defeated Houston twice, Tennessee, Baltimore, and New England. The defense will show different looks in this game and I would not be surprised if Orton was shut down completely in this game.

Look for the Colts to win this game easily, as Peyton Manning has a field day on this overrated Broncos defense and the Colts remain undefeated. Lay the touchdown and back the Colts as your pick of the week.

Aside from you not picking a team in the Eagles-Giants game, though, I have to say I very much like your two picks this week. A predictuion of my own is you go 2-0 this week.

No pick on the Eagles-Giants game? For the talksportsPhilly.com website? Come on Johnny G! I have to go with the Eagles, considering the beat down the G-men 40-17 in their first meeting. I’ll take the Eagles, though it should be closer.

I have decided not to pick the primetime games in my weekly picks. I started doing seperate pick posts for the primetime games on sunday night, monday night, and thursday. Don’t worry ill give you the winner of that game sometime tomorrow.
