Andy Reid By The Numbers

Earlier in the season I posted Andy Reid’s numbers as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. I am proud to present the updated numbers for our illustrious head coach.

Yes, my friends, Andy Reid has a career .606 winning percentage as head football coach of the Eagles, but you really need to look into those numbers to really appreciate what Reid brings to the team. Against teams faced that had a sub-.500 record, Reid has a .809 winning percentage. That’s is very impressive that he has managed to win 81% of his games against sub-par teams. Against teams that finished a season 8-8 or better, Reid has a winning percentage of .442. So against teams that generally have had a moderate level of success, Reid has lost more than he has won. Finally, we come to Reid’s winning percentage against playoff bound teams. Yup, an outstanding .362 winning percentage. So it seems that the better the competition gets, the worse Andy Reid does. Huh? So why in the world would any rational organization continue to proceed with this circus?  Your guess is as good as mine.
